Automatic Screwdriver for flowdrilling screws with automatic feeding

The FSF Automatic Screwdriver for fitting flow drilling screws has been specially developed for use in the automotive industry.  Flow drilling screws are used to connect different aterials of small thickness.  High axial forces in combination with high rotational speed create frictional heat, which heats up the metal sheet so that is softens.

The screw tip sinks into the material and forms a funnel with an internal thread, projecting beyond the bottom surface of the metal sheet.  Thus an accurate metric thread is formed wich ensures a tight screw connection.

This method offers all advantages of a metric connection and is maily used in car body manufacturing.  The system can be used stationary or robot mounted.  The FSF is designed to utilize direct feed or magazine loaded feed with automatic or manual filling.
