Model AP-120 Part Placer

The AP-120 Part Placer is ideally suited for an automated assembly systems. It is fully automatic and designed to place headless pieceparts. This model is equipped with a vibratory bowl feeder, a feed tube between the bowl feeder and placer head, support column, and a cross-shuttle escapement. The escapement places each piecepart into the part placer head’s placement jaws. The placement jaws hold the piecepart in position until the piecepart is engaged in the workpiece. The part placer head has built-in sensing to confirm proper insertion of each piecepart into the workpiece. The AP-120 provides a pressing force of 38.6 kilograms (85 pounds). A larger cylinder can be installed to increase the pressing force to 79 kilograms (175 pounds) depending on the placement force requirements. The baseplate size is determined by the size of the bowl feeder system.
