Dixon customized dial index assembly systems are fully automatic, and perform screw/nut driving, part placement, pressing, and staking functions to meet a wide range of assembly applications. A programmable control and operator interface panel provides complete automatic and manual control. "Good Part" sensing is provided with each dial assembly system. The Assemble Perfect® technology system diverts any non-conforming sub-assemblies. Every tooled application is engineered to maximize the production output. Cycle rates vary due to part geometry, size, and other assembly requirements. Many optional features are available to meet assembly criteria. Please discuss your next assembly project with us.
| Pruner Assemblies |
|
A Semi-Automatic Four Station Dial Index Assembly System producing hand held pruners.
The machine components incorporate a Dixon Standard Model SD-111 Nut Driver, a Dixon Standard Model SD-110 Screwdriver, and two Dixon Standard Model AP-325 Part Placers. An operator manually loads pruner components into the fixture and initiates the machine cycle. The nut driver utilizes a servo drive system. A nylon insert lock nut is driven to a specified torque setting. A part placer then positions a pruner lock cap against the pruner as the screwdriver drives a screw to a specified torque setting. Upon completing the assembly, the pruner assembly is removed from the fixture to a conveyor for packaging. Machine features include programmable logic control, operator touch screen, machine guarding, and opto-touch button for cycle initiation. Assemble Perfect® technology for quality assurance.

| Check Valve Assemblies |
|
An Automatic Eight Station Dial Index Assembly System produces check valve assemblies.
Machine components include part placers, a staking station, and an inspection station. Using blow-fed part placers, and Dixon Standard Model AP-325's track-fed part placers, the valve bodies, valves, springs, and eyelets are positioned in a fixture on the dial prior to the final staking station. Assemblies are then automatically inspected to ensure they meet the customers requirements. An air blast ejects the completed assemblies from the machine. Additional machine features include operator touch screen, spring de-tangler, and programmable logic controls. Assemble Perfect® technology for quality assurance.

| Bell Housing Assemblies |
|
A Semi-Automatic Four Station Dial Index System assembles four knurled studs into a motor end bell housing.
The machine components include two Dixon Standard Model AP-120 Part Placers, a Dixon Standard Model AO-700 hydraulic press, vibratory feed system, light curtains, and programmable logic control. Parts are manually loaded onto fixtures consisting of housing locators and tools designed to form the stud ends into the housing counter bore. Parts are automatically stripped from the crimping die and ejected. The machine employs Dixon's Assemble Perfect® technology to provide assurance of "Good Assemblies."
