Dixon customized two-piece assembly cells are fully automatic, and perform screw/nut driving, part placement, pressing, and staking functions to meet a wide range of assembly applications. Each assembly cell is furnished with tooled vibratory bowl feed systems. One piece part is delivered to the placement or driving head, and the second piece part is positioned in a holding fixture under the placement head. A programmable control and operator interface panel provides complete automatic and manual control. Good-part sensing features are standard using Assemble Perfect® technology with each assembly system to assure quality production. Each assembly is 100% inspected prior to ejection and diverted if rejected. Every tooled application is engineered to maximize the production output. Cycle rates vary due to part geometry, size, and other assembly requirements. Many optional features are available to meet your assembly criteria. Please discuss your next assembly project with us.
| Tube & Ring Assembly |

Two-piece assembly cell completes a Tube and Ring assembly.
The cell consists of a part placing station, vibratory bowl feed systems, locating fixture, fiber-optic full-track feed shutoff system, and eject-reject mechanism. The programmable control and operator's interface panel controls all basic functions. The control is programmed to turn off the automatic cycle and light a flashing warning light if three consecutive rejects should occur. The assembly cell provides 100% inspection of all assemblies using Assemble Perfect® technology.

| Lug & Screw Assembly |
|
Two-piece assembly cell completes a lug and screw assembly.
The cell consists of a screwdriving station with depth control sensing, vibratory feed system, sound enclosure, and supply hopper. The feed system for the lugs consist of an in-line vibratory feed track, feeder bowl, fixture, sound enclosure, and supply hopper. A programmable logic control and operator interface provides complete automatic and manual control. The cell provides 100% inspection of all assemblies. A light tower is provided with green, yellow and red lenses to indicate low parts in the feed systems, or a stoppage.

| Terminal Screw Assembly |

Two-piece assembly cell completes a terminal and screw and assembly.
The cell consists of a driving head with pneumatic motor, precision depth sensing, and vibratory bowl feed systems. Terminals are feed, oriented, and positioned under the driving head. The assemblies are 100% inspected prior to ejection using Assemble Perfect® technology. The programmable control and operator's interface panel controls all basic functions.

| Shading Ring Assembly |

Two-piece assembly cell completes a shading ring assembly.
The cell consists of a 4 ton air-over hydraulic press, vibratory bowl feed systems, fiber-optic full-track feeder shutoff sensors, part locating fixture, eject/reject mechanism, guarding with two electrically interlocked Lexan doors. The programmable control and operator's interface panel controls all basic functions.

| Lube Fitting Assembly |

Two-piece assembly cell completes a lube fitting and socket plug assembly.
The cell consists of a driving head with a torque reaction pneumatic motor, vibratory feed systems, supply hoppers, locating fixture, fiber-optic full-track feed shutoff system, Assemble Perfect® Good Part sensing, and eject-reject mechanism. All basic functions are controlled by the operator's interface panel, and the programmable controls.

| Prophy Cup Assembly |

Two-piece assembly cell completes a prophy cup and output gear assembly.
The cell consists of a part placing station, vibratory bowls feed systems, lubricant dispenser with reservoir, fiber-optic full-track feeder shutoff sensors, good-part sensing features with 100% inspection of completed assemblies using Assemble Perfect® technology. All tooling met pharmaceutical standards. The operator interface panel and a programmable control provide complete automatic and manual control.
